Family Abuse Center

Mission:
This organization exists to eliminate domestic violence in Central Texas by sheltering victims of domestic violence and by preventing abuse from occurring through intervention and education.
Volunteer Duties:
Volunteers help with working the front desk, greeting guests, answering phones, as well as filing and mailings when needed.
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must attend a one day, one hour orientation and pass a criminal background check.
Training:
All training is provided as needed.
Time Commitment:
Long or short term volunteers are welcome!

Recommended For:
Anyone who wishes to serve the courageous clients in our shelter who have taken the first step into their new lives, are willing to learn security measures and educational programming, while having an open heart.
Benefits:
Volunteers benefit by learning what it takes to run a shelter our size with limited means, but big hearts.
